Stanford Women In Ninth At Arizona Wildcat Invitational

Tucson, Ariz. - The Stanford women's golf team, paced by Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana, carded rounds of 299 and 309 on the first day of competition at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona. The Cardinal's two-round score of 608 (+40) on the par 71, 6,166 yard course puts them in ninth place overall. Arizona State leads the field (577), followed by Duke (588), USC (590), New Mexico (595) and Pepperdine (597).

Stanford's Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana fired rounds of 74 and 70 today for a 144 total which puts her tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard. Teammate Lauren Todd is tied for 11th just three strokes back after recording a 74 and 73 today (147). Teammate Mari Chun is tied for 56th with a 158 (76-82) while Catherina Wang is tied for 58th (75-84) at 159. Rounding out the Cardinal competitors is Ki-Shui Liao who is tied for 78th individually with a 172 (86-86).

Duke's Amanda Blumenherst leads the field with a three-under par 139, followed closely by Arizona State's Jennifer Osborn (141).

Action at the Arizona Wildcat Invite concludes with 18 holes tomorrow.
