Women's Golf Team is 12th after Two Rounds

The UCLA women's golf team was in 12th place following the second round at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational at Arizona National in Tucson on Monday.

The Bruins posted a team score of 612 (+44) and trailed first place Arizona State by 35 shots. After a solid first round score of 296, the Bruins could not sustain the momentum in the afternoon round. Duke was second at 588 (+20), followed by USC at 590 (+22) and New Mexico at 595 (+27). Pepperdine was fifth at 597 (+29).

Individually for the Bruins, senior Hannah Jun posted rounds of 73-71--144 (+2) and was tied for sixth place. Sophomore Tiffany Joh was tied for 28th at 151 (+9) after carding scores of 74-77. Freshman Sydnee Michaels was in 55th place at 157 (+15), followed by junior Maiya Tanaka who was tied for 60th at 160 (+18). Sophomore Ryann O'Toole was tied for 66th at 163 (+21).
