Spartan Invitational Up Next For Husky Women's Golf

SEATTLE - The Washington women's golf team will compete in its second tournament in as many weeks, traveling to Northern California for the Spartan Invitational hosted by San Jose State, Monday, March 5, through Tuesday, March 6.

The two-day event will take place at the Almaden Country Club in San Jose, Calif. - a par 72, 6,121-yard course. Monday's action will include 36 holes with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. PT, while Tuesday's final 18 holes will feature a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Joining Washington in the 14-team field will be host San Jose State, UC Irvine, New Mexico State, Hawaii, Nevada, Idaho, California, Fresno State, Oregon State, Colorado, Miami (Fla.), Colorado State and Santa Clara.

San Jose State is the defending champion, while Fresno State's Laura Leuthke won last year's individual title.

Washington's lineup for the tournament will include freshman Christina Yoon, senior Amber Prange, freshman Molly Aronsson, redshirt-freshman Molly Boyle and junior Kim Shin.

The Huskies are coming off a 15th-place showing in their spring debut at the Wildcat Invitational this week.
