Volleyball Announces 2007 Spring Schedule

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University volleyball team will host one tournament and play in two others during its spring competitive season, Head Coach Brian Heffernan announced Monday.
'Our spring schedule is designed to test this young Cougar team,' Heffernan said. 'We see many of the nation's very best every night in the Pac-10 Conference. This spring schedule provides us with an additional opportunity to play against some of the nation's best programs as we continue to elevate our level of play.'
The Cougars will host the Quicksets Spring Invite Saturday, March 24. Teams from Brigham Young, and Idaho will join WSU in two-hour training/competitive blocks of time in Bohler Gym. The schedule is: 9 a.m. WSU vs. BYU, Noon BYU vs. Idaho, 3 p.m. WSU vs. Idaho. Admission is free of charge.
The following weekend WSU will travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Golddigger Spring Invite tournament. In addition to WSU and the host Minnesota Gophers volleyball teams, squads from Florida and Notre Dame will compete March 31.
The University of Portland will host the Spring Invite tournament at the Nike World Campus April 14. Teams from around the country will compete in this annual collegiate volleyball tournament.
