Tyson Ross Honored by College Baseball Foundation and InsidePitching.com

BERKELEY, CALIF. - University of California sophomore right-hander Tyson Ross has been noted by the College Baseball Foundation and InsidePitching.com for last week's effort in the Golden Bears' 8-0 shutout of Kent State. Ross was on College Baseball Foundation's Honor Roll for the week of Mar. 5-11, and his pitching was voted the West Regional Performance of the Week.

Against the Kent State Golden Flashes in Cal's first game of the Cardinal Classic in Louisville, Ky. on Mar. 9, Ross threw 8.0 innings, yielding just three hits with no runs, no walks and a career-high 10 strikeouts. On the year, he is 2-3 with a Pac-10 leading 1.65 ERA. Ross is also second in the Pac-10 in strikeouts (39) and innings pitched (43.2).
