COUGARS DEFEAT GOLDEN EAGLES: Washington State's70-54 victory over Oral Roberts in the first round of the NCAATournament was the first for the Cougars in postseason play since a92-73 win over Gonzaga, March 14, 1996 in the first round of theNIT...first win in the NCAA Tournament for WSU since a 62-52win over Weber State, March 17, 1983 in Boise...Ivory Clarkscored a team-high 19 points and added six rebounds and a careerhightying five blocks...Taylor Rochestie added 15 points, fiverebounds and four assists...Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver chippedin 12 and 10 points, respectively...Weaver pulled down a team-higheight rebounds.
