Men's Tennis Topped By #4 USC 6-1

TEMPE, Ariz. - The ASU Men's Tennis team returned to action Friday afternoon as they hosted the fourth-ranked USC Trojans in Tempe at the ASU Whiteman Tennis Center. The Men of Troy proved to be too much for the Sun Devils, winning 6-1 as ASU drops to 8-5 on the season as USC pushes to 12-1.

USC came out to sweep doubles with Wes Miller and Matt Brooklyn hung in to push a tough 8-5 match versus Kaes Van't Hof and Robert Farah, but ultimately falling.

USC came out just as strong in doubles, sweeping the 1-4 spots in straight sets before T.J. Bellama snapped the streak, beating USC's Jason McNaughton 6-2, 6-4.

Freshman Murilo Souza played a tough match in the six spot, forcing USC's Gary Sacks to a tiebreaker, but fell 6-4, 4-6, 10-8.

The Sun Devils will return to action tomorrow as they host the #8 UCLA Bruins in Tempe at ASU's Whiteman Tennis Center. The match is set to start at 1:00 p.m. PT.
