WHAT: Pacific-10 Conference Women's Gymnastics Championships.

WHERE: Wells Fargo Arena, Tempe, Ariz.

WHEN: Saturday, Mar. 31 at 5:00 p.m.

WHO: Women's Gymnastics teams from ARIZONA, ARIZONA STATE, CALIFORNIA, OREGON STATE, STANFORD, UCLA and WASHINGTON will all compete with one last chance to show the rest of the country what they are made of.

TICKETS: Admission to the 2007 Pacific-10 Conference Gymnastics Championship is $5 for adults, $4 for faculty/staff, $3 for juniors/seniors, $2 each for groups of 15 or more.

The Pac-10 regular season ended this past week, with STANFORD beating UCLA in a hard faught meet, CALIFORNIA, OREGON STATE and WASHINGTON scoring big in its final meets, and ARIZONA and ARIZONA STATE battled tough this week ... The Pac-10 Gymnastics Championship is Sat., Mar. 31, at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz at 5:00 p.m. ... This competition will give all seven teams one last chance to shine and show off all of their hard work, dedication and preparation ... Five Pac-10 teams once again are ranked in the nation's Top-25, including, STANFORD (5), UCLA (8), OREGON STATE (9), ARIZONA (15t) and ARIZONA STATE (25) ... Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- OREGON STATE sophomore Jami Lanz has been named Pacific-10 Conference Gymnast of the Week for March 13 - 19 , Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Lanz, a sophomore hailing from Eugene, Ore., had a very dominant and impressive showing in the Beavers' final home meet of the season. Lanz recorded three 9.900+ scores to win the all-around with a career-high score of 39.625. Lanz led the Beavers in their win over Cal State Fullerton 197.100-192.700. This team score was the first score over 197-points since 2003. Her all-around score sky rocketed Lanz up to tied for 10th nationally in the all-around. Lanz's 39.625 is the fifth highest all-around score in school history.

This stellar night started for this 5' 3' gymnast on the vault where she shinned turning in a 9.900 placing second in the event behind teammate Mandi Rodriguez who set a career-high 9.950 on the vault. The Beavers finished the apparatus with a team score of 49.225. On the bars, Lanz recorded her 14th title posting a 9.875 to lead Oregon State to a team score of 49.150.

The third rotation sent the Beavers to the beam, where the team recorded a season-high 49.375. Lanz recorded another victory with a career-high 9.925. In the final rotation, Oregon State took to the floor with confidence scoring a 49.350 on the apparatus. Lanz posted a career-high tying 9.925 to win the event.

With such great confidence, the Beavers head to Tempe, Ariz. for the Pac-10 Championship on Sat., Mar. 31 at Wells Fargo Arena at 5:00 p.m.

  • ARIZONA - Arizona gymnastics fought hard in their final meet of the regular season falling to No. 23 BYU 195.675-195.300, but beat Southern Utah who finished third with a 194.875 ... Junior Karin Wurm finished the season strong as she recorded a career-high 39.425 to win the all-around and captured the bars title with a 9.925 to match her season-high ... Junior Danielle Hicks matched her season and career-high score 9.900 on beam ... Freshman Miranda Russell finished third along with Wurm with a score of 9.800 ... The Wildcats will make the short trip to Tempe, Ariz., to compete in the Pac-10 Championship Sat., Mar. 31.

  • ARIZONA STATE - Posting its highest away score of the season, Arizona State fell to No. 5 Utah 196.650-194.950 ... Sophomore Nicole Harris led the Sun Devils finishing third in the all-around (39.550) and tied her season-best score on bars (9.875) ... The Sun Devils posted their third highest score of the season with 48.950 on bars ... Senior April Boone placed fourth on vault (9.875) and tied for third on bars (9.875) ... The Sun Devils will host the Pac-10 Championship Sat., Mar. 31 at Wells Fargo Arena at 5:00 p.m.

  • CALIFORNIA - California recorded its second-highest team score in school history (196.500) to finish out the regular season with a win in the quadrangular meet featuring UC Davis, Sacramento State and San Jose State ... Two Bear Gymnasts recorded career-high scores in the all-around ... Sophomore Jessica Kelley won the competition with a 39.425 while freshman Siobhan Luce finished third ... The Bears will carry this momentum into the Pac-10 Championship Sat., Mar. 31 in Tempe, Ariz.

  • OREGON STATE - It was a night of career-high scores as Oregon State finished the regular season with an impressive win over Cal State Fullerton, 197.100-192.700, recording a team score over 197 for the first time since the 2003 season ... Sophomore Jami Lanz captured the all-around title with the fifth highest all-around score in school history and setting her career-high score on the beam (9.925), floor (9.925) and in the all-around (39.625) ... Freshman Mandi Rodriguez also recorded a career-high on the vault (9.950) and in the all-around 39.450 finishing third behind sophomores Lanz and Tasha Smith ...   • STANFORD - Stanford finished the regular season undefeated in the Pac-10 with a win over No. 8 UCLA 196.825-196.250 ... Junior Alex Pintchouk led the Cardinal finishing first in the all-around (39.425) and on the bars (9.900) ... Freshman Stephanie Carter set a new career-high mark with a 9.850 on the vault ... Freshman Carly Janiga finished the regular season strong capturing second place in the all-around and tied for first on the bars along with Pintchouk ... The Cardinal head to Tempe, Ariz., for the Pac-10 Championship on Sat., Mar. 31 at Wells Fargo Arena.

  • UCLA - Despite junior sensation Tasha Schwikert winning the beam (9.950) and vault (9.925) events, UCLA was defeated by Stanford in its final regular season meet 196.825-196.250 ... Sophomore Ariana Berlin had a strong performance finishing third in the all-around ... Junior Jordan Schwikert had an impressive vault routine scoring 9.900 second behind her sister Tasha ... The Bruins hope to bounce back at the Pac-10 Championship Sat., Mar. 31 in Tempe, Ariz.

  • WASHINGTON - Washington swept Seattle Pacific in its final regular season meet 194.475-193.375 ... Sophomore Ashley Houghting continued her impressive year winning the all-around title (39.350) scoring the highest individual score in nearly two seasons, vault (9.950) and floor (9.975) ... Junior Raimey Iselin returned to action after two months to win her second bars title in her career with a 9.800 ... The Huskies carry this fire with them to Tempe, Ariz. for the Pac-10 Championship Sat., Mar. 31 at Wells Fargo Arena.
