WSU Head Coach Jane LaRiviere on the SDCC: 'My philosophy is that we have to get faster and faster. We can't be at our top speed in San Diego. We've got six more weeks until Pac-10s. We are on a plan so that we are as fast as possible at Pac-10s, and hold that speed or get a little faster for Nationals. It's important to be competitive, but it's not necessarily important to win. We want to be in the mix.'

Cream of the Crop: The SDCC field features five of the six Pacific-10 varsity eight crews ranked in the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association/U.S. Rowing Top-20 poll, including No. 2 California, No. 8 WSU, No. 10 Southern California, No. 12 Stanford, and No. 17 UCLA...only No.7 Washington is missing
