Women's Golf Ties For Sixth At PING/ASU Invitational

Tempe, Ariz. - Cardinal Mari Chun shot an eight-under par 208 to finish second individually at the PING/ASU Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course, while the team posted another top 10 finish with a tie for sixth at 24-over 888. Stanford shot a 299 in the final round. Arizona State took home the team tournament title with a 13-under 851. UCLA was second (873) while Texas A&M took third (874). Vanderbilt was fourth (875) and Pepperdine fifth (877).
Rounding out the top 10 were Oklahoma State (888), Arizona (888), Stanford (888), New Mexico (895) and USC (895).
Mari Chun shot a one-under par 71 in the final round to finish at eight-under par, just two strokes off the individual leader, ASU's Anna Nordqvist, who won the tourney with a 10-under 206. Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg took third with a 209.
Senior Lauren Todd tied for 15th individually with a two-over 218 after shooting rounds of 74-70-74. Teammate Catherina Wang tied for 35th with a 225 (75-74-76) while Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana tied for 77th (78-83-78--239). Stanford's Saana Rapakko tied for 85th (81-81-81--243).
