Women's Golf Ranked Second in Preseason Poll

NEW YORK - The Arizona State women's golf team starts the season ranked second in the nation in the Preseason Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll. ASU received two first-place votes. Duke won the top-spot in the preseason poll with 26 first-place votes, with UCLA rounding out the top-three with one first-place vote.

Additionally, Golf World named sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist the no. three female player to watch. Also making the list of top-50 female players to watch were junior All-Americans Azahara Munoz and Jennifer Osborn.

The Sun Devils open the season at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 14-16.
