O'Toole and Montano Join Pac-10 Staff

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The Pacific-10 Conference has named Josh O'Toole and Stephanie Montano as 2007-08 Communications Interns, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
O'Toole, from Eugene, Ore., is a 2006 graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. While in college, he served as a student assistant in the UO athletic media services office where he was responsible for writing press releases, handling media requests and statistics research. Upon graduation, O'Toole was promoted to intern and was the main contact for wrestling, men's and women's tennis and women's lacrosse.
He was also the primary assistant for all of Oregon's Division I sports and served as the secondary contact for men's basketball during the NCAA Tournament.
Montano, from San Pablo, Calif., is a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in psychology. She worked in the USC sports information office for three years, writing feature stories, assisting with media requests and coordinating interviews for local and national media.
In addition, Montano spent four months with the Oakland Raiders as an intern in the multi-cultural initiatives department. She wrote articles for the team web site, translated information for Spanish-speaking readers and helped coordinate the 2006 Raiders Hispanic Heritage game.
