No. 4 USC Sweeps Mercer To Win 2007 USC Classic

LOS ANGELES - Freshman Kimmee Roleder (Pasadena/Pasadena HS) registered her first collegiate double-double with 17 kills and 14 digs Saturday as the No. 4 USC Women of Troy swept the Mercer Bears, 3-0 (30-19, 30-14, 20-26), to win the 2007 USC Classic at the Galen Center. USC improves to 6-0 on the season, hitting .379 today against Mercer (1-4).

Senior All-American Asia Kaczor (Wroclaw, Poland/College of Southern Idaho) had 15 kills and hit .464 for the match (15-2-28). USC utilized setters Chelsea Wilson (19 assists) and Mychaela Miller (24 assists) for the majority of the match.

Julie Darty led the Bears with seven kills.

USC returns to action on Wednesday (Sept. 5) with a nonconference match against Pepperdine at the Galen Center, beginning at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on, courtesy of TrojanTV All-Access.
