Men's Golf Travels to Corvallis for Giustina Memorial

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State men's golf team travels to Corvallis, Ore. this week to compete in the Giustina Memorial at the par 72, 7,030-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club...the two-day tournament will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m., with 36-holes of play, and will end with the final 18-holes teeing off at 7:45 a.m., Tuesday...in addition to regular tournament scoring, OSU will pair the men's and women's teams from each participating school in a combined competition against the other participating schools.
The Field: The field of nine pairs Washington State with Oregon, UC Irvine, Boise State, Idaho, Fresno State, UC Riverside, Idaho State and Portland.
Traveling for the Cougars: Five Cougars will be traveling to take a swing at victory in Corvallis, Ore., Monday...the Cougar men include senior Jordan Mason, sophomores Austin Hurt, Nick Grigsby and Kevin Tucker and freshman Nick Ellis.
Last Time Out: Despite the wet weather conditions, the Cougars fared well in last week's Mean Green Classic...as a team, the Cougars moved up two spots the final day to take fifth place overall...sophomores Austin Hurt and Kevin Tucker led the Cougar contingent...both men finished the tournament at 1-over par (145)...freshman Nick Ellis ended the tournament tied for 36th and senior Jordan Mason and freshman Xavier Dailly finished in a tie for 42nd to round out the Cougar squad.
