Cardinal Places Seventh At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

    STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford finished seventh overall at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Sammamish, Wash., posting a 46-over-par final total of 910 (304-302-304).

    USC captured the team title with an 18-over-par 882 (296-291-295) while Arizona State (301-295-295-891) took second and Oregon finished third (307-290-303-900). Arizona (305-296-301-902) placed fourth and California (305-297-301-903) came in fifth.

    Junior Mari Chun tied for eighth overall with a 5-over-par 221 (71-76-74), leading the Cardinal once again.

    Sophomore Catherina Wang tied for 28th overall after carding a 13-over-par 229 (77-75-77) while junior Ki-Shui Liao tied for 32nd following a 14-over-par 230 (80-74-76).

    Junior Angela King, playing in her first tournament of the year, registered an 18-over-par 234 (76-78-80) and placed 43rd.

    Freshman Rebecca Durham posted a 19-over-par 235 (81-77-77) to tie for 46th.

    Stanford is back in action on Friday, Oct. 19, when it hosts the Stanford Intercollegiate. The tournament continues Saturday and wraps up on Sunday.
