WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- UCLA junior midfielder Jason Leopoldo has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 16-22, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Leopoldo, from Thousand Oaks, Calif., led the Bruins to victories over Oregon State and Washington, putting them at the top spot in the Conference rankings, after sitting in fourth place prior to the weekend. Against Oregon State, Leopoldo scored the game-winning goal on a header off a corner kick, and recorded an assist on UCLA's third goal. The Bruins went on to beat the Beavers, 4-1.

Against Washington, he set up the game-winning goal for teammate Kyle Nakazawa with less than a minute left in regulation, giving UCLA the win, 3-2. The victory extends UCLA's winning streak to three games and undefeated streak to four games.
