USC's Asia Kaczor Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- USC opposite/outside hitter Asia Kaczor has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 22- 28, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Kaczor, a senior from Wroclaw, Poland, helped the Trojans improve to 8-3 in the Pac-10 and 19-3 overall with wins over No. 9 California and No. 3 Stanford last weekend. Against the Golden Bears, Kaczor had 24 kills and 17 digs to beat Cal, 3-2. In the 3-1 upset against No. 3 Stanford, Kaczor had a career-high 28 kills (7.00 kpg) and hit .328 for the match, adding five assists and 13 digs.

On the season, Kaczor has 378 kills (4.61 kpg) for .285 hitting with 189 digs (2.30 dpg), 58 blocks (0.71bpg) and 26 aces (0.32 sapg).

It is Kaczor's fourth weekly honor overall and USC's 41st Pac-10 Player of the Week all-time.
