WASHINGTON moved to the top of the Pac-10 standings, while a weekend sweep in Oregon moved ARIZONA STATE into a tie for sixth... This week's FSN featured match pits UCLA at USC. Paul Sunderland calls the action, while Holly McPeak and Karch Kiraly provide commentary... Six Pac-10 teams still among the CSTV/AVCA Top 25, including five among the Top 10 - No. 4 Washington, No. 5 Stanford, No. 6 USC, No. 8 California, No. 9 UCLA, and No. 19 OREGON.

ARIZONA looks to snap its six match skid this weekend as the Washington schools visit Tucson. Arizona's had one seven-game losing streak (last season) under coach David Rubio, but never an eight-game losing streak. Against Oregon, freshman OH Tiffany Owens led the way with a team-high 16 kills on .324 hitting (16-5-34). Against Oregon State, Owens posted a career-high 25 kills, and junior OPP Randy Goodenough posted her 11th double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs to go with seven blocks. Senior MB Dominique Lamb tallied a career-high 13 blocks... ARIZONA STATE junior OH Margie Giordano had a big weekend for the Sun Devils in victories over the Oregon schools. She hit a combined .419 in collecting 41 kills (5.86 kpg) and 25 digs (3.57 dpg). Against the Beavers she posted a .524 attack percentage and tied her career-high for kills for the second time this season with 23. In the 3-1 upset against No. 16 Oregon, Giordano and freshman OH Sarah Reaves both had 18 kills... CALIFORNIA defeated No. 7 UCLA for the program's first-ever victory against the Bruins at Pauley Pavilion. The win is only the Bears' second in history against UCLA but is also the second in the last six meetings. Senior OH Angie Pressey set a new career-high for kills in a match with 29 against USC. Senior MH Ellen Orchard had her fifth match this season with double-digit blocks. Her 20 total blocks over the weekend put her in first all-time at Cal in total blocks (444), surpassing the old record of 438 held by Camille LeFall (2001-2004). Freshman S Carli Lloyd set a new career mark with 69 assists at USC... OREGON had its two-match winning streak snapped at Mac Court by Arizona State. The loss to the Sun Devils marked the first time this year Oregon was defeated by a Pac-10 team not in the nation's Top-10. On Thursday, Oregon swept past Arizona with junior OH Gorana Maricic, sophomore MB Sonja Newcombe and freshman OH Heather Meyers all reaching double figures in kills for the second straight match. Maricic's 445.5 points this year already tie her for fifth in the program's single-season history... OREGON STATE sophomore S Camilla Ah-Hoy recorded her second double-double of the season with 38 assists and 17 digs in the loss to Arizona State. The following night, the Beavers snapped a 22-match losing streak to Arizona with a 3-2 win. Ah-Hoy had another notable night setting a new career-high with 54 assists. Freshman OH Jill Sawatzky had a career-high night, posting her first double-double with 15 kills and a career-doubling 19 digs... STANFORD freshman L Gabi Ailes dug a career-high, and Stanford single-match record, 31 balls in the loss at USC. Junior OH Cynthia Barboza and senior S Bryn Kehoe posted their 13th and 11th double-doubles of the season. Stanford was out-hit for the first time all year, .284 to .273. Stanford's win over UCLA gave the Cardinal their 20th win of the season. It's the seventh consecutive 20-win season for the Cardinal, their 27th overall... UCLA Junior OH Kaitlin Sather had a season-high 20 kills to lead all players in the loss to Stanford. She also added 18 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. Junior S Nellie Spicer had 49 assists in the five-game loss to California to move into third on UCLA's all-time career assists list. Spicer now has 4,113 assists for her career... USC freshman OH Geena Urango registered a season-high 21 kills as USC outlasted California in five games. The 39-37 score in game two tied the highest scoring game in the rally scoring era for USC, equaling the Women of Troy's win by a similar score on Dec. 1, 2006, against BYU. Sophomore S Taylor Carico had a career night as she posted a career-high 10 kills for a .444 hitting performance with 65 assists, six digs and three blocks. Sophomore L Alli Hillgren had a career-high 36 digs. Senior OH Asia Kaczor recorded a career-high 28 kills Saturday as USC knocked off Stanford. It was USC's 20th straight win at the Galen Center since the Trojans' only loss in the arena on Oct. 12, 2006, which was ironically against Stanford... WASHINGTON, despite hitting just .203, ran its school-record winning streak at home to 39. The Huskies won their 20th match of the season, giving them their sixth consecutive 20-win season. Senior OH Christal Morrison, who finished the night with 12 kill, moved up to No. 2 on the UW career record list with 1,685 kills. She needs 110 more kills to tie Sanja Tomasevic for the top spot. Huskies have three active players with 300 or more blocks - senior MB Alesha Deesing (338), junior MB Jessica Swarbrik (306), Morrison (302)... WASHINGTON STATE sophomore L Kelly Hyder had 23 digs in the loss at Washington moving her two-season career total to 960 digs which is eighth-best in WSU history.
