Trojan Diving Invitational Day One Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Senior Kim Popp was second on 3-meter and sophomore Alexis Demond was third on 1-meter while freshman Steven Starks was third in both men's events to lead the USC men's and women's diving teams on the first day of the 2007 Trojan Diving Invitational at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium on Friday (Nov. 2).

Popp was second on 3-meter with 283.75, just behind first-place Marisa Samaniego (288.70) of UCLA. DeMond was fourth on 3-meter (267.45) while freshman Christine Petrilli was 11th (221.55).

DeMond came in third on 1-meter with 248.60. Hawaii's Emma Friessen (275.95) was first while Samaniego was second (270.95). Popp was sixth (230.35) while Petrilli was 16th (203.00) and junior Eileen Osmun was 17th (201.90).

Hawaii's Magnus Frick won the men's 1-meter (365.55) while his Rainbow Warrior teammate Mats Wikforsson won the 3-meter (380.80). Starks was third on both 1-meter (299.10) and 3-meter (335.10) while freshman teammate Derek Roth was fourth on both 1-meter (274.90) and 3-meter (307.50).

The invitational's men's and women's platform competition will run from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday (Nov. 3) at the McDonald Swim Stadium.
