Nov. 2, 2007

PULLMAN, Wash. - Tickets for the Washington State University men's basketball game against the University of Washington, set for Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Friel Court are sold out, the athletic ticket office announced Friday.

Men's basketball tickets have gone at a rapid pace this season, as fewer than 200 season tickets for the 2007-08 season remain, while only 118 single-game tickets remain for the season opening doubleheader Friday, Nov. 9 and less than 200 tickets are left for WSU's game against preseason Pacific-10 favorite UCLA, February 7, 2008.

Due to the high demand for tickets, including the season opener against Eastern Washington, Friday, Nov. 9, during Dad's Weekend, student and guest tickets for the doubleheader with the women's team will be handled in a special manner. Students must pick up a physical ticket to gain entry to the event; sports passes will not be swiped the night of the game.

The tickets will be available for pickup during the men's exhibition game, Sunday, Nov. 4. The game is against Lewis-Clark State College at Friel Court at 4 p.m. Details for ticket pickup and distribution Nov. 4 go as follows:

- At 2:30 p.m. ZZU CRU members can begin entering the building through the student gate, swiping their sports pass to receive their ticket for the Nov. 9 game.
- At 3 p.m. all students can enter Beasley Coliseum at the student gate and swipe their sports pass for their ticket for the Nov. 9 game.- As students enter, a `staging area' will be setup on the concourse where students can line up to purchase additional guest tickets for the Nov. 9 game. Ticket sales begin at 3:30 p.m. and are $10 a piece (students can purchase a maximum of two guest tickets).
- Student passes will continue to be swiped and guest tickets sold until the allotment for tickets is reached.

Last season WSU drew 104,525 total fans to Friel Court, marking its highest average attendance since 1995-96 with 7,466 fans per contest. In last season's record-setting season, the Cougars sold out games against Gonzaga (Dec. 5), Washington (Jan. 20), UCLA (March 1) and USC (March 3).

Although going fast, single-game and season tickets are still available by calling 800-GO-COUGS from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday or by logging onto
