Beavers And Huskies Play To 2-2 Draw

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Ellis McLoughlin and Ely Allen each scored for the visitors but Oregon State scored in the 64th minute and hung on for a 2-2 tie in a Pac-10 men's soccer match Wednesday night at Lorenz Field at Wayne Valley Stadium.

Both teams had a player red-carded in the first half as OSU's Collin Foster was sent off on a straight red card in the 32nd minute and Washington's Stephen Tangen was ejected in the 41st after receiving his second yellow card of the match. Both teams played with 10 men through the second half and overtime.

Oregon State (8-10-2 overall, 3-5-2 in the Pac-10) got on the scoreboard first in the 29th minute when Nick Webb scored from close range on an assist from Mason Webb.

Washington (8-7-3 overall, 3-4-2 Pac-10) evened the score in the 57th minute when McLoughlin scored off of a deflection. The Huskies took the lead less than three minutes later when Allen scored his Pac-10-leading 11th of the season on an assist from Raphael Cox.

Oregon State tied the game at the 63:41 mark when Robby Christner connected from the top of the penalty area.

The Huskies close out the 2007 season with a 12 noon game Sunday at San Diego State in a makeup of a game postponed from Oct. 26 due to the fires in the area.
