Stanford Men Conclude Season At NCAA Cross Country Championships

Terre Haute, IN - The Stanford men's cross country team ran to a 19th place team finish as they tallied 451 points at the NCAA Cross Country Championships this afternoon. The Cardinal was led by senior Neftalem Araia who raced to a 50th place finish. Oregon took home the team title with 85 points, while Iona (113) and Oklahoma State (180) finished second and third, respectively.

Araia led the Stanford men as he earned a 50th place finish with a time of 30:42.0, while senior Russell Brown followed right behind in 51st in 30:42.0 as well. Junior Hakon DeVries stopped the clock at 31:04.2 to take 90th place, followed by teammate junior Garrett Heath in 162nd place with a time of 31:37.8. Senior Hari Mix crossed the finish line as the final point scorer for the Cardinal in a time of 32:13.2 to take 205th place. Junior John McGuire placed 214th with his time of 32:25.2, while the Elliott Heath was the final Stanford runner to finish as he took 237th place in a time of 33:00.9. Josh McDougal of Liberty captured the individual title as he recorded the winning time of 29:22.4.
