Washington's Jon Brockman Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - WASHINGTON forward Jon Brockman has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 12-18, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Brockman, a junior from Snohomish, Wash., averaged 23.0 points and 11.7 rebounds in the Huskies' three wins last week. Against New Jersey Tech, Brockman scored 12 points on 4-8 shooting, including 4-7 free throws and tallied 9 rebounds.

In the 83-77 win over Utah, he posted career-highs with 31 points and 18 rebounds shooting 11-23 in FGs and 9-11 in FTs which advanced the Huskies to the semifinals of the Preseason NIT Tipoff being held in New York. On Sunday, Brockman hit more than half his shots making 13-19 FGs scoring 26 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the 82-68 win over Eastern Washington.

This is the second weekly honor for Brockman and Washington's 30th Player of the Week all-time.
