No. 3 Men's Swimming Heads South to Austin for the Texas Invite

Nov. 27, 2007

The third-ranked Cardinal travel to Austin for their second three day invitational competition in as many weeks, as they look to build from a dominating performance at the Nike Cup the weekend before Thanksgiving.

This Texas Invite promises something special, as the top three returning teams from last year are currently the top three ranked squads in the entire NCAA.

The event will take place at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.

Competition will be Thursday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Dec. 1; preliminary sessions at 10 a.m. Central each day, finals sessions at 6 p.m. each day.

Last year at the Texas Invite, Arizona won the meet with 787 points, the host team Longhorns took second with 689 and the Cardinal were third with 543. However, Stanford did not contest any of the double-scoring relay events last year, which they have entered this time around. Check back here for daily updates and results as the Stanford men look to prove themselves against the other powerhouse teams in the nation.
