Bob Murphy's Stanford Career To Be Celebrated During Big Game Saturday

Stanford, Calif. - The 43-year Stanford career of Bob Murphy will be celebrated with a series of events surrounding the Big Game between Stanford and California at Stanford Stadium this Saturday, December 1. Saturday's broadcast will be the final one in the Stanford booth for the 'Voice of the Cardinal', who will retire from his position at the conclusion of the 2007 football season on Saturday. Murphy has broadcast at least one Stanford game every season from 1964-2007.

The following events are currently scheduled to recognize Stanford's long-time broadcaster, who will also be honored with a photo on the cover of Stanford's gameday program and a story inside the publication.
