SEATTLE - Christal Morrison set a new Washington postseason record with 27 kills and the No. 6 Huskies got past Missouri, 3-2 on Friday night in an NCAA First Round Playoff match. Game scores were 30-23, 28-30, 30-22, 32-34, 15-11.
The Huskies, who were the No. 6 seed out of 64 teams in the tourney, went to five games in the first round for the first time in their history. They had lost only one game in the postseason at Bank of America Arena and that came back in 1994 against Wyoming, which happened to be their very first playoff appearance.

Alesha Deesing finished with 10 kills and Jenna Hagglund set a new UW postseason record with 76 assits. Also for the UW, Tamari Miyashiro had 39 digs, setting a new career-high.
