Arizona's Jordan Hill Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - ARIZONA forward Jordan Hill has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3 - 9, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Hill, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., led his team to an overtime 78-72 victory in the Wildcats' only game of the week against Illinois on Saturday. He posted career-highs with 23 points and 14 rebounds and added two steals and three blocks. Hill shot 66.7 percent from the field, making 8-12 FGs, and 77.8 percent from the free throw line making 7-9 FTs. This game marked Arizona's first double-double of the season and the fourth of Hill's career.

On the season, Hill averages 12.9 ppg and 5.6 rpg, while leading the Wildcats with a .661 (39-59 FGs) field goal percentage and 12 blocked shots.

This is the first weekly honor for Hill and Arizona's 70th Player of the Week all-time.
