January Clinic Information

SEATTLE - The University of Washington softball team has announced three date changes for their January pitching and hitting clinics, while the coaches clinic on Jan. 26 still has space available.

The pitching and hitting clinics have been moved from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and will now be held on on January 17, 24 and 31. Only the 8 p.m. pitching and hitting sessions remain available. The 7 p.m. sessions are full. Each session will be on hour long and cost $30. The clinics are for players ages 8-18, and will be held in the Dempsey Indoor Facility located on the UW campus.

In addition, room still remains for the Aunnual UW Softball Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 26, hosted by head coach Heather Tarr and her staff. The clinic will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Dempsey Indoor Facility. Cost is $125 per coach (groups of 4 or more lowers the cost to $100 per coach), and includes lunch and a notebook.

Through the Coaches Clinic, coaches will develop sound and usable information of many aspects of the game. The topics will focus on aspects of fundamentals and troubleshooting flaws in softball players. Topics will include throwing, hitting fundamentals and drills, catching, pitching, beginning to advance infield and outfield play, situational defense, bunting, base running, slapping, and strength and conditioning.

Send check, payable to University of Washington softball, and the registration form to: UW Softball, Attn: Eve Gaw, Graves Annex Box 354080, Seattle, WA 98195-4080. Checks will not be cashed until the conclusion of the clinic that you have registered for.
