SEATTLE -- The Washington women's basketball program will hold its annual silent auction in conjunction with the Huskies' Pac-10 contest with Arizona, Saturday, Jan. 26, at Bank of America Arena. The auction will begin at 1 p.m. and continue through halftime of the Huskies' 2 p.m. contest with the Wildcats.
The auction will take place on the concourse of the arena in front of the Husky Hall of Fame. Over 50 items will be up for bid with all proceeds going directly to the Husky women's basketball program. Some of the items this year include access to a condo in Palm Springs, a digital camera and printer package, a bowling outing with former Seattle Storm head coach and current Indiana Fever head coach Lin Dunn and UW senior associate athletic director Marie Tuite, and a pizza party with members of the 2000-2001 NCAA Elite Eight Husky women's hoops squad.
The annual auction is the main fundraiser each year that helps generate revenue to support foreign trips, special equipment purchases and other basketball needs.
The Huskies' game with Arizona will also feature the popular Autograph Day promotion. All Husky players will sign autographs for fans following the contest at the North Court in Bank of America Arena.
