Washington's Jon Brockman Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - WASHINGTON forward Jon Brockman has beennamed the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player ofthe Week for Jan. 14 - 20, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Brockman, a junior from Snohomish, Wash., helped the Huskies get intothe win column in Conference play with wins over Oregon and OregonState last week. In the 78-70 win over the Ducks, Brockman scored 21points, grabbed 16 rebounds, dished out a pair of assists andcollected three steals. In the 83-74 win against the Beavers, hescored 26 points and added 14 rebounds.

For the week, Brockman shot 18-29 (.621) from the field, 11-of-19 (.579) from the free throw line and averaged 23.5 points and 15.0rebounds in posting his 11th and league-leading 12th double-double ofthe season.

This is the fourth weekly honor for Brockman and Washington's 32ndPlayer of the Week all-time.
