Swimming in the driving rain, Stanford held strong to easily defeat Arizona State, 140-97 in Pac-10 dual meet action, Friday afternoon at the Avery Aquatics Center. Stanford swept the top three finishes in four different races en route to the win.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Daniel Beal won the event with a time of 1:35.29, just two tenths off the NCAA automatic qualifier, but a time that lowered his NCAA provisional season best.
