Friday's Game At Winthrop Halted In The 6th Inning

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Friday's game between USC and Winthrop was halted in the 6th inning due to heavy fog. Anthony Vasquez hit a fly ball to center that was lost in the fog, resulting in a triple and the suspension of the game.

It will be resumed on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Eastern with USC holding a 6-2 lead. Derek Perren is 3-for-3 in the game with a single, double and home run while Tommy Milone went five innings for the Trojans, allowing one earned run with nine strikeouts.

Saturday's game will be followed immediately by the originally scheduled second game of the series, weather permitting. Saturday's action will be broadcast live on
