Juan Carlos Rebaza Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

ARIZONA STATE senior Juan Carlos Rebaza have been named Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for Mar. 3-9, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Rebaza had a successful weekend and has proven to be a big reason why the Sun Devils are currently undefeated. The senior swept through both of his singles matches this past weekend. Against Pierre Mouillon of California, Rebaza battled back from dropping the second set to take the match thanks to a spirited performance in the tiebreaker, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (4). Rebaza upset No. 85 Richard Wire of Stanford the following day in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
The No. 26 Sun Devils (9-0) take a long road trip to Atlanta, Ga. this week as the play Clemson on Wed. March 12 and Georgia Tech on Fri., March 14.
This is the first Pac-10 Player of the Week award for Rebaza. The award is the fourth for the Arizona State men's team.
