TEMPE, Ariz. - The 14th-ranked Arizona State Women's Tennis Team (9-3) will return home again this week as they set to host the Marquette Golden Eagles and the Arizona Wildcats.The Sun Devils will face Marquette on Tuesday, March 18 at 1:30 p.m. and Arizona on Saturday, March 22, with both matches being held in Tempe at the Whiteman Tennis Center. Last time out saw the Sun Devils come out red-hot as they made quick work of the Oregon Ducks with a defi nitive 7-0 sweep to give ASU their ninth win on the season and their fi rst Pac-10 win of the season.

How the Eagles Soar:

Marquette comes into the weekend with a 6-9 overall record, but don't let it fool you. as six of their nine losses are to ranked opponents. Their strength lies in their upperclassmen, which

five of the ten roster members of the Golden Eagles are Juniors or Seniors. They are led by Maria Calbeto a senior from Guaynabo, P.R. who currently holds an 11-11 singles record, with a 3-0 record in the No. 1 spot. Freshman Christina Ruiz is also making noise with an 11-10 record with a 3-0 record in the No. 2 spot.

Stalking the `Cats

The Sun Devils' in-state and longtime rival, the Arizona Wildcats also travel up to Tempe this weekend with a 7-8 overall record coming off of two losses against No. 4 Stanford (7-0) and No. 7 California (6-1). They are led by the 62nd ranked Danielle Steinberg, a junior from Tel-Aviv with a 15-7 overall singles record and a 10-5 record in the No. 1 spot.

The Sun Devils will remain home next week as they host Pac-10 powerhouses Stanford and Califronia for Pac-10 standings on Friday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday the 29th at noon. All matches will be held in Tempe at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
