Husky Women Tied For Fourth After Two Rounds At Duck Invite

EUGENE, Ore. - Led by a trio of freshmen, the Washington women's golf team is tied for fourth after two rounds at the Duck Invitational at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore., Monday.

The Huskies are 39-over 615 and knotted with California, head into Tuesday's final round nine strokes behind leader Oregon (30-over 606).

Karen Dickinson, from Mukilteo, Wash., has paced the Huskies thus far, carding a 1-over 73 and a 5-over 77 to end the first 36 holes of play at 6-over 150. Dickinson is tied for seventh, and will enter Tuesday's final round seven shots behind leader Kendra Little of Oregon who leads the field at 1-under 143.

Freshmen Anya Alvarez and Nicole Ferrero round out the top-three Husky players after two rounds. Alvarez is tied for 15th at 9-over 153, carding scores of 4-over 76 and 5-over 77. Ferrero is tied for 31st at 13-over 157, rebounding with a 4-over 76 in the second round after shooting 9-over 81 in the morning round.

Sophomore Christina Yoon is tied for 36th (15-over 159) and sophomore Molly Aronsson is 52nd (18-over 162). Playing as individuals, freshman Katie Saucier is tied for 57th (20-over 164) and sophomore Molly Boyle is tied for 67th (23-over 167).
