Taj Finger, Drew Shiller Named Pac-10 All-Academic

STANFORD, Calif.- Senior Taj Finger and sophomore Drew Shiller have been named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team, announced today by Commissioner Tom Hansen.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Finger was tabbed to the First Team. A communication major, Finger has participated in all 35 games while making four starts. Usually one of the first players of the bench, Finger is averaging career-best totals of 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Finger has scored in double-figures six times this year and is shooting 55.3-percent from the field.

Shiller has competed in 27 games, all in a reserve role. He is averaging 3.4 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. Shiller, who opened the season with consecutive double-digit scoring performances, has posted some impressive shooting totals: 49-percent from the field, 46.5-percent from three-point territory and 87.5-percent from the foul line.
