Hello Dawg Fans!

It's spring break for us this week which means we have had no school work to worry about! YAY!!! We also had our first two days off from both school and softball since Christmas break. Having a little extra time to relax and rest has been really good for everyone to gear up for Pac-10 action to start. This weekend we will be hosting Oregon and Oregon State to start conference play.

Everyone is very excited to be back playing at home after being on the road for three weekends. Last weekend at the Judi Garman Classic we lost a couple of close games, but rallied to get a good win against Utah to finish the weekend. We also had the opportunity to play right after the United States National team. We got to watch a few innings and get a close up look at how both talented and thorough they are at everything they do. A special moment for me was getting to warm up in the bullpen next to the greatest softball pitcher of all time, Lisa Fernandez.

Now that we have closed out our preseason schedule it means we are about half way finished with the season. It is amazing how fast all these weekends go by. As we move into Pac-10 action we know that every game will be a challenge but are confident in the success we have had this preseason and the work we have continued to put in at practice. One of my favorite things about our team this year is that nothing comes that easy for most of us, we have put in a lot of work and that is how we get our jobs done. Hopefully you can come out this weekend and catch a game at Husky Softball Stadium. Be loud and wear purple!

Go Dawgs!
