Women's Golf Travels to California for Regional Preview

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State University women's golf team travels to Lincoln, Calif., for the Regional Preview March 31-April 1, hosted by Sacramento State...the two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 5,819-yard Lincoln Hills Golf Club...play begins Monday at 8 a.m....the final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday...live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com and complete results will be posted at www.wsucougars.com...Lincoln Hills will also serve as host of the NCAA West Regional tournament, May 8-10.

In the Rankings: In the latest Golfweek team ratings, the Washington State women rank 48th.

The Field: In the field of 19, the Cougars (No. 48) are paired with three teams ranked in the top 50 nationally including No. 10 Denver, No. 44 Oregon and No. 45 San Francisco...the Cougars are also paired with Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Idaho, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Sacramento State, San Diego State, Santa Clara, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UNLV (Rankings according to Golfweek).

Traveling for the Cougars: Five Cougars will be traveling to California to take a swing at victory...the Cougar contingent includes seniors Tracy Broders and Brooke Henderson, juniors Amy Eneroth and Jessica Black and sophomore Diana Hong.

Last Time Out: Led by dominant performances from Eneroth and Black, the Cougars finished in sixth place at the Duck Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon...the women fired a two-day total of 926 at the challenging par-72, 6,052-yard Eugene Country Club...Eneroth held her second place position throughout each round of the tournament and fired a 2-over par 218...Eneroth tallied her 14th career top 10 and 23rd top 25 finish...Black carded a 224 and earned her first top 10 finish of the season as she placed tied for sixth...Henderson shot a 242, Hong ended with 247 and Broders finished close behind with 248 and rounded out the Cougar contingent...sophomore Haley Parsons carded a 246, playing as an individual.
