Eneroth Ties for First at Inland Cup

CLARKSTON, Wash. - Junior Amy Eneroth tied for first and led the Washington State University women's golf team at the Inland Cup Friday, on the par-71, 5,861-yard Quail Ridge golf course.

Despite Eneroth's dominate performance, the Cougars fell to the University of Idaho by one stroke. The Cougars carded a one-day total of 314 compared to Idaho's 313.

Eneroth fired a 4-over par 75 to earn her second career tournament victory. Eneroth's win moved her into a tie for third on the career top 25 finishes list with 24. Eneroth's last victory came at the Duck Invitational March 27, 2007.

Junior Jessica Black carded a 79 to finish tied for fifth. Black earned her second top 10 finish of the season and the fourth of her career.

Freshman Allison Travis, playing as an individual, also finished tied for fifth and earned her career best finish and first top 10.

Senior Brooke Henderson and sophomores Haley Parsons, Mandy Parsons and Diana Hong all shot 80 and finished tied for seventh. Senior Tracy Broders carded an 81 to round out the Cougar contingent.

The women are back in action March 31-April 1 at the Regional Preview at Lincoln, Calif.
