Stanford Women's Soccer Announces 2008 Spring Schedule

Stanford, Calif. - Kicks Against Breast Cancer
The Stanford women's soccer team has announced their 2008 spring schedule and will play a host to four home games as well as two road games at Santa Clara and California. The games will begin April 16th and will run through May 21st.
The feature game of the spring schedule is a match against the U-16 National team, which is a chance for the program to go up against some of the best young talent in the country. This match will take place Wednesday, Apr. 16th Cagan Stadium and will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Cardinal will also host the Stanford 'Kicks Against Breast Cancer' tournament, which will run all day at Cagan Stadium on Saturday, Apr. 19. It will feature the Cardinal taking on Oregon and California as well as the National team taking on Washington and USF.
Stanford will then hit the road to take on California in a match that will be a small-sided game with seven players on each side. The team will then come home to host UC Davis on Saturday, May 10th and will finish the spring schedule at Santa Clara on Wednesday, May 21.
All the games through the Stanford 'Kicks Against Breast Cancer' tournament will have a donation table, where fans are encouraged to donate money in the fight against cancer. All spring games will be free of charge.
