The No. 6 Women of Troy Look For a Challenge Up North

The Women of Troy, ranked No. 6 in the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association/USRowing poll will travel to Redwood Shores, Calif. for the Stanford Invitational on Saturday April 19 and Sunday April 20. The Women of Troy will enter one varsity eight, one second varsity eight and one varsity four boat. USC will meet tough competition with No. 5 Washington State, No. 10 Stanford, No. 16 UCLA, University of Victoria and University of Central Florida.
The Women of Troy varsity eight will begin at 9:32 am against Central Florida. The second varsity eight will race Central Florida at 10:12 am and finally the varsity four will meet Central Florida at 10:53 am.
In the afternoon session, the second varsity will line-up against Santa Clara at 3:24 pm. Next up will be the varsity eight will meet Victoria at 3:48 pm and the varsity four will race Victoria at 4:12 pm.
On Sunday, April 20, the Women of Troy varsity eight will kick things off against No. 10 Stanford at 9:08 am. At 9:48 am the second varsity will race Stanford and at 10:48 am the varsity four will meet Stanford.
The Women of Troy are coming off a rather impressive San Diego Crew Classic on April 4th and 5th, where the varsity eight placed second for the Whittier-Jessop Cup. The second varsity also placed second in their respective grand final.
The Women of Troy novice will be sending two eight boat to race in Newport Beach, Calif. on Saturday April 19 against Orange Coast College and UC Irvine.
