Stanford is making its ninth appearance in the NCAA Championships and fourth under head coach Kristen Smyth.
The Cardinal are looking for their fourth trip to the 'Super Six' after qualifying for the prestigious event three times in the past six years. Their highest finish is a 3rd place effort in 2004 and their most recent visit to the 'Super Six' was just last year when they finished 5th.
The Cardinal is coming off a fifth Pac-10 title in the program's history and third in the past five years.
Stanford was placed in the evening session tomorrow along with host Georgia, Utah, Michigan, UCLA, and Denver. The session will begin at 7:00 p.m EST.
Stanford will begin on floor in the NCAA Championships and will next rotate to vault. After a bye in the third rotation, the Cardinal will head to bars and will finish the first day of competition on beam.
The Cardinal has already competed against five of the 12 teams at this season's NCAA Championships. Those teams include Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Oregon State, and UCLA.
