Howdy Dawg Fans!
We are in hot and humid Houston, Texas getting acclimated to the weather and preparing for our first postseason game versus Texas tomorrow evening.
Today we practiced at the Univeristy of Houston's stadium but were interrupted by a thunder and lighting storm. Fortunately the weather changed very quickly and soon we were back on the field after passing the time doing impressions of each other's swings and mannerisms at the plate. The softball stadium was a very nice complex and it should be a fun weekend full of very good softball.
Tomorrow evening we will kick-off the postseason with our first game against the Texas Longhorns. We have not played them this year but split with them in two games last year. There is a sense of excitement around the team as we look forward to start playing. We all know that anything can happen in postseason and this makes this time of year extra exciting and special.
While we probably won't have too many fans at the game this weekend, we know we will have support from every one at home listening in on the radio or following us on GameTracker. Its post season now and the teams that keep going are the teams that believe! Go Dawgs!
Note: You can listen to the Huskies on KKNW-1150AM, or through GoHuskies.com. GameTracker is also available for every game.
