TEMPE, Ariz. - Third-ranked Arizona State used four home runs to break open what was a close game and picked up a second straight win over Washington, 11-4, Saturday in the second game of a three-game Pac-10 series at Packard Stadium.

The loss dropped the Huskies (31-19 overall, 10-10 in the Pac-10) into a tie for fourth place with UCLA (also 10-10), four games back of the first-place Sun Devils (43-9 overall, 14-6 in the Pac-10).

Senior lefty Josh Satow (7-3) picked up the victory. He worked six innings, allowing one run on six hits, walking three and striking out four. Tommy Rafferty earned his fourth save.

UW starter Jason Erickson (3-2), making his first start in over two months thanks to a hand injury, suffered the loss. In his five and two-thirds innings, he allowed five runs on five hits.

UW senior right fielder Andy Lentz hit the first pitch of the game over the fence in deep right-center field to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. It was his fifth homer of the season.

ASU went in front in the second inning. With two runners aboard via walks, Raoul Torrez delivered a triple to right, scoring both. Shortstop Greg Bordes followed with a double down the first-base line to score Torrez, putting the Devils on top, 3-1.

The Sun Devils added to their lead in the sixth when first baseman Kiel Roling led off the frame with his seventh homer of the year to make it 4-1. After two outs and a single, Erickson was relieved by lefty Tyler Cheney. Cheney walked one batter and then gave up a three-run homer to ASU center fielder Jason Kipnis, increasing the lead to 7-1.

With Satow out of the game to begin the seventh inning, the Huskies rallied. After a two walks and a single, a groundout from pinch hitter Jake Rife scored one run. Brett Wilcox followed with a two-out single to score two more, cutting the deficit to 7-4.
