WSU Golfers Named Pac-10 All-Academic

PULLMAN, Wash. - Several members of the Washington State men's and women's golf teams were named to the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic Team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced recently.
Leading the way for the men was redshirt freshman Xavier Dailly, who was named first-team All-Academic. Dailly, a business major from Burlington, Wash., posted one top 25 finish in his first year of competition with the Cougars and boasts a grade-point average of 3.65.
Also representing the men on the All-Academic team was sophomore Nick Grigsby, a business major from Spokane (3.58 GPA). Grigsby, WSU's second-best finisher at the conference championships, was named All-Academic Second Team.
The women's team placed five golfers on the All-Academic teams, tied for second-most in the conference.
Senior Brooke Henderson (Richland, Wash.) and sophomore Diana Hong (Sacramento, Calif.) were each named to the second team. Henderson, a hospitality business management major with a 3.36 GPA, completed her WSU career with three top 10 and eight top 25 finishes. Hong, undeclared with a 3.77 GPA, finished in the top 10 twice in 2007-08, and in the top 25 four times.
Senior Tracy Broders (Tigard, Ore.) and juniors Jessica Black (Bend, Ore.) and Amy Eneroth (Spokane, Wash.) were each named honorable mention. Broders, a marketing major with a GPA of 3.19, finished her WSU career with five top 10 and 10 top 25 finishes. Black, a sport management major with a 3.30 GPA, has 13 career top 25 finishes, tied for ninth-most in school history. Eneroth, tied for second on the career top 25 list (28) and third on the career top 10 list (16), is a sport management major with a 3.13 GPA.
