Ben Wildman-Tobriner Leads Stanford At U.S. Olympic Trials

    Omaha, Neb.- On day 6 of the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, Ben Wildman-Tobriner swam his way to the top seed for tomorrow's final in the 50 free. Wildman-Tobriner finished with the top time (21.65) to advance to the final.

    In the opening round Wildman-Tobriner was second with a time of 21.68, trailing Cullen Jones who set the American record with a time of 21.59 seconds.

    Also in the pool for Stanford were Jayme Cramer and Eugene Godsoe in the 100 fly. Cramer advanced to the semi-final after finishing 11th with a time of 53.11 seconds. Godsoe did not advance after placing 40th with a time of 54.39 seconds.

    In the semi-final of the 100 fly Cramer finished ninth with a time of 53.04 seconds to narrowly miss advancing to the final.

    Saturday Wildman-Tobriner will be back on center stage when he competes in the final of the 50 meter free. Also swimming will be David Mosko and Scotty Korotkin in the 1,500 meter free.
