2008 Gameday Promotions Set For Women's Volleyball

LOS ANGELES -- The USC women's volleyball program has announced its 2008 promotions schedule for home matches at the Galen Center, starting on Thursday (Sept. 4) with All-Time Great Night. USC will honor former players Sue Woodstra and Debbie (Landreth) Brown prior to the home opener against Oklahoma. Permanent banners with Woodstra and Brown's name will be displayed next to the banners of Paula Weishoff and Debbie Green who were honored last season.
All home matches this season will be free to Trojans Kids Club members when they present their card at the entrance to the Galen Center. On Sept. 12 against Ohio State at 7 p.m., USC will have 'White-Out The Buckeyes' presented by Coca-Cola. All fans are encouraged to wear white for the match and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive t-shirt, courtesy of Coca-Cola.
Girl Scout Night will take place on Saturday (Oct. 11) against Washington. Girl Scouts from around the Los Angeles area are welcomed to the match and a special ticket offer along with video board recognition will be available by calling (213) 740-4170 as no walkup purchases will be allowed.
On Friday (Oct. 24) against Stanford, USC and Baden will team up for limited edition mini-volleyballs to raise awareness for breast cancer and another Girl Scout Night will take place the following night against Cal.
Ghosts and goblins will be out for Halloween on Oct. 31 when USC hosts Oregon. Fans who wear a costume will receive free admission to the match and be eligible for prizes during the intermission contest. The Oregon match will also be Homecoming for all former USC women's volleyball players along with the following night against Oregon State.
Cardinal & Gold Day will be on Friday (Nov. 14) against Arizona with Autograph Night on Saturday (Nov. 15) in the home finale against Arizona State. In the ASU match, the Women of Troy will also hold a pre-match youth clinic.
Several home matches this season will feature a match wrap-up in the Founders Room. Admission is free and will being approximately 15 minutes after the match.
