Eight Track & Field Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Accolades

Eight Bruin track and field athletes have been named to the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team for their accomplishments on the track and in the classroom.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.
The men's squad had six honorees, while the women had two. Named to the All-Academic team for either indoor or outdoor track were senior pole vaulter Chris Bencomo, redshirt freshman distance runner Scott Crawford, redshirt senior distance runner Austin Ramos, redshirt junior distance runner Drew Shackleton, sophomore distance runner Kevin Sullivan, redshirt freshman pole vaulter Greg Woepse, freshman pole vaulter Tori Anthony and redshirt junior pole vaulter Megan Jamerson.
