Watkins Named One of Glamour Magazine's Top 10 College Women

Bruin senior-to-be and 2008 Olympian for Trinidad and Tobago, Rhonda Watkins, has been named one of Glamour Magazine's Top 10 College Women and is featured in the September issue of the magazine.

For 51 years Glamour's chosen the most impressive female students in America to honor in their annual Top 10 College Women Competition and Watkins is one of them.

A standout in track and in the classroom, Watkins aspires to win an Olympic gold medal in the long jump and to become a sports medicine doctor.

In 2007, Watkins won both the NCAA indoor and outdoor long jump crowns and also earned All-American honors in the outdoor high jump. In 2008, Watkins was hampered by a hamstring injury, but was still able to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She has won three West Region and three Pac-10 individual crowns during her career.
