Second Day of Arizona Invitational Concludes
Santa Clara wins the Arizona Invitational winning all three matches.
TUCSON-- Santa Clara (4-1) capped off a perfect record at the Arizona Invitational with a 3-0 sweep over Texas State (4-4) to win the tournament at McKale Center Saturday morning.
The Broncos defeated the Bobcats in straight sets, 25- 15, 25-20 and 25-20 to win the match in an hour and 25 minutes.
Offensively, the Broncos were led by Anna Cmaylo, who had 17 kills and a .419 hitting percentage. Lindsy Davigeadono registered a game high 37 assists. Davigeadono also had four kills. As a team, Santa Clara six hitting errors, six service errors and eight blocking errors.
Offensively, the Bobcats were led by Emily Jones Wilkes, who had 11 kills and a .647 hitting percentage. Brittany Collins led her team with 23 assists. Collins also had eight digs. As a team, Texas State had 13 hitting errors, nine service errors and one blocking error.
